In Ms K's Kindergarten, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating, and welcoming environment for all children. Our unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning. Learning Through Play
The educational programs at Ms. K's Kindergarten were created with our children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. Take a look below to learn more about each program.
"What is the difference between free play and guided play?
Guided play, unlike free play, means there is a learning goal set by an adult and children are 'gently steered' to explore. Studies found that children also learned slightly more in some areas of numeracy, like knowledge of shapes, and showed greater mastery of some behavioral skills, like being able to switch tasks."
We are using a guided play environment along with our researched-based curriculum.
Our curriculum includes Everyday Math, Superkids, Phonics, and Phenomeic awareness {Heggarty). Religion (Catholic and Christian values), Social Studies, and Science.
